  1. This is really great.
I was in a McDonalds drive through with my 3 kids getting something to eat the other day. When I drove up to the window the woman smiled, handed me a blue card and said that the person in front of you paid for your food!!! My first response was, “are you sure???” And with an even bigger smile she said, “I’m very sure”. WOW! Are you kidding? I am just astonished that someone would do that. Nothing like this ever happens to me. I haven’t stopped smiling. My eldest daughter and I can’t wait to pass it on somehow. Thank you.

  2. This was the beginning! Things only got better from here. On March 8, 2007 we received an envelope with two sets of instructions, maps and tickets in it. Each set of instructions was to be opened at specific times and places. The first instructions and map took us to a pre-paid supper at a Celtic nightspot in Manchester, NH. After having supper and drinks the waitress informed us that we could open our second set of instructions. Upon opening our second envelope we discovered that we had been tagged to attend the performance of the Celtic Woman concert being held at the Manchester Verizon Wireless Arena that same evening. What a wonderful surprise!

  3. All I can say is, god bless you. Whoever you are. my husband and I have been working 2 jobs each for the past year to help try and make ends meet. we live modestly at best and do what we can to support our 2 boys as best we can. we have a happy home and we are a good family. At the end of november my husband developed bronchitis which later turned into pneumonia. as a result, he was unable to work for just over 2 months. even with insurance the medical costs were over bearing. we ended up falling behind in our mortgage and we were heading into foreclosure. my husband and I have spent many sleepless nights worrying about what would happen, where we would go and about our boys. I prayed and prayed that we would find a way out of this and looked to our church for worship and loving support. 2 weeks ago we received a call from one of the church elders saying that we would lke to come by and see us and that he had something for us. it seemed quite unusual and we were pretty curious. When he came by he handed us a blank envelope and inside the envelope was this blue card and enough money for us to pay for two months of our mortgage. Tears immediately started down both of our faces. we didn’t know what to say and were in complete disbelief. when i finally gained some composure to say thank you, we were told that they had just been asked to deliver the envelope. He wasn’t sure who had done this. which just made me tear up even more. this amazingly generous act has allowed us to almost completely catch up and we can see some light at the end of the tunnell. God moves in very amazing ways and we are so very blessed. It is unbelieavbly nice to know that such kindness exists. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. we will so definitely find a way to pass this on.

  4. Both my husband and I had had busy work days, and we were too exhausted to make dinner. We called in a to-go order at a local cafe, and to our surprise, some nice soul had already paid for it! It was a great treat and really made our day. We will be “tagging” some lucky person tonight at another one of our favorite local restaurants!

  5. I am a single father who has been unemployed for 5 months now. My son turned 8 two weeks ago and all he wanted for his birthday was a new bicycle and I knew I didn’t have the ability to get one for him. We have sacrificed quite a bit over the last number of months to make ends meet, but it just wasn’t going to be doable. While there are much more important things than a bicycle, it still wieghs heavy on a parents heart. On the Saturday before his birthday I opened the front door to go get the newspaper and sitting on my front porch was a brand new bike and taped to the handle bars was this blue card. Like a scene from a movie I quickly walked to the sidewalk and looked up and down the street like I was going to find out who left the bike. That didn’t happen. All I know is, whoever left the bike is a true gift as it made one 8 year old little boy very, very happy and a father humbled and extremely thankful!

  6. This year, for the first time in 6 years, my volleyball team qualified for the Junior Olympics in Miami this summer, which is an amazing opportunity for all of us. We were all extremely excited to qualify, but at the same time all our families were stressed about the cost, which is $800 a person, plus travel expenses. My team decided we were going to fundraise all the money. One very kind and genorous man donated $2400 to our team. This is enough for 3 girls’ expenses and also made up for the money we were short on. Because of this amazing act of kindness, we are able to go on our trip without any worries about expenses except air fare! Thank you so much for your genorosity, we all appreciate it so much!! I will be sure to pass on the kindness!!

  7. The Lord is amazing and used one Got-Tagged card to bless ten families. The 9u Cedar Park Scorpions spent Sunday afternoon on the street corner taking donations to help in our team’s quest to go to the Summer Baseball World Series. A man stopped by and to our surprise gave us $100. We feel extremely blessed by this man’s generosity and are looking for ways that our ten boys can pass it on. If you are interested in keeping up with the Scorpions, and how Got Tagged has blessed us, check out our website at http://www.mightyscorpions.com.

  8. Me and my mother where wanting to go up to Austin to be with my sister for her first baby which is about two and a half hours away for where we live. But it was not only the gas money it was the money for food and the car seat that we had promised. But we really did not have the money to go up there and for a new car seat. So I got on Craig’s list and found the one and we would still be able to make the trip. Then when we got to the house to pick you the car seat we saw a bouncer and other thing and my mother said I wonder if she’s selling the bouncer also. As I walked up to the front door I began to read the blue notes that she had left us and found out that she was giving us every thing that was left by the door I could not believe it was what we needed.

  9. Wow were we surprised! An old friend and I were having breakfast in Austin and after a wonderful breakfast and laughter we asked for the bill. A waiter handed us the cards and stated that our bill had been taken care of for us by some ladies at another table. Of course they were gone by then and he stated, “Didn’t you know them?” We explained that we did not, but were so surprised and of course tears filled our eyes at the thought of this random act of kindness. Thank you and you can bet that this act will be passed along. What a wonderful world this is, in spite of all the bad things that can happen, there are still wonderful people here! I have spread the work of these deeds and hope others will too.

  10. On a beautiful, cool Austin Saturday morning, my daughter in law and my three beautiful grandsons went out to eat breakfast together. This was a rare gathering for us, just grandma, mom and the boys. What a blessing in of itself! Then we told told by our wonderful waitress our bill was already paid for by an anonymous, generous party. We were very much surprised and received the got tagged blue cards….random kindness! It’s written in our hearts. We are ever so mindful to give “forward”. And it is and shall be done! Gratefully, namaste!

  11. I didn’t receiveone of these cards but I would love to! My act of kindness this week was pretty simple that we all take for granted. I stopped at Mrs.Fields on my way into work at NY & Co for a soda. I hadn’tbeen sleeping well lately and my day had already started out not too well. The cashier asked if I was ok because I looked pretty stressed & sad. I was in need of unloading and that lady listened to me for 15 solid minutes about my problems! I cried but my heart felt so much lighter afterwards. Now, every morning before work I stop there & we chat for a few minutes to catch up! God brings people into your lives for a reason & I’m blessed:)

  12. Last week while traveling to Seattle, my debit card dropped out of my pocket. A lady picked it up and ran after me through the airport. It was such a blessing – the alternative could have been horrible!

Today, while at Bed Bath & Beyond, there was a couple who had just moved into a new place. They had a lot of purchases. I asked them if they had received their 20% off total purchase coupon. They had not so I paid my blessing forward from earlier in the week and gave them my coupon.

I told the couple of my blessing and they said, “WOW, you are paying it forward, that is fantastic! We will do the same.”

I suggested they come to gottagged.org and tell their story – I hope they do!

  13. I dont know who this is, or how I received a card but someone left it on my car door in an envelope marked private and anonymous. I am a single dad, my four boys live with me, they are 6,7,9 and 14 every day is a struggle just to survive, we are losing our house, and I have no where to turn for help. I am currently un-employed, so any little money I can save or scrape together is like a Godsend… In the envelope with the card was a gift card for $75.00 dollars for a food store… All I can say is I am grateful to whom ever left this on my car… As hard as everything is being a single dad, I never let life get me down and always try to help as many people as I can…Life is a full circle and we get back what we put into it… I and My kids thank you very much…. If any one can make any suggestions as to how to save my house I would greatly appreciate it, I dont have the money for an attorney to help, we are just getting by…. Thanks again

  14. I stopped at McD’s for breakfast and I noticed the people in the suv in front of me were pointing at me and then they drove off. When I reached the window the cashier said breakfast was on the people in front of me and they asked that I do something charitable today for someone else. Little did they know I was on my way to do service work for the day. Thanks!

  15. I work fast food and I do things like paying for people behind me when I go through drive thrus, but I never have seen the response and have always been okay with that. But the other day I was blessed in that I got to see some of the reactions that this little act of kindness can give. someone came through my drive thru and paid for his meal but then requested to pay for the car behind him as well. I asked if it was something called the drive thru difference which one of our local radio stations does. he said that it was a pay it forward instance from when the yound lady at Columbine died a few years ago and it had stayed with him. when the car behind him pulled up and I handed her the food she told me it wasn’t paid for and as I reassured her that it had been paid for by the car ahead her eyes filled with tears and you could tell that it was exactly what she needed that day. It truly amazess me how God always knows who to place where and when to help someone out.

  16. An old friend a few months back sent to me 2 tickets to a SF Giants for my older son and I, as a surprise in support of a “re-connection” effort I was in. Along with it, some “you got tagged” cards. The feeling was one of a thousand smiles bestowed around me. Turns out my son and I were both busy together on a different excursion the day of the ballgame so I gave the tickets and a tag card to a neighbor of mine and his son. They were blown away and shared a great time at the ballgame together while I was fly-fishing with my son.
See, random acts of giving are contagious and grow like freight trains. In the end, you get back what you give out.

  17. While on the way back from the bank today a little great-grandmother person broke down in front of me and a couple of guys and I helped get her off the road/out of traffic. One of the guys, Christopher, stayed with me with her until her family arrived to take her home. In the meantime I let her use my cellphone to contact her family. When we left her, she had someone on the way to move her vehicle and her family had arrived to take her home. THEN!, I went on my way to do my grocery shopping and lo/behold…there was Christopher, in the checkout line in front of me!!! He didn’t have his store discount card with him so I offered mine, and took the opportunity to PIF, and share a “tag” with him. HE in turn, tagged the cashier, Jaz, and SHE in turn, tagged the young lady helping her bag customer groceries!!! LOL We shared tag cards the whole morning!!! I was grateful to be part of the opportunity and experience, and to use the cards that had only just arrived to PIF!!

  18. A very perfect Tag for me happened at PetSmart.

I have to groom my 75 lb. dog’s fur myself because it grows so fast and she’s pretty old and gets uncomfortable.

Went to the store to buy another shaver (has to be cordless to work for Abby and me) and was at the counter about to check out when one of the groomers, who’d worked on Abby came by.

She saw this little ‘detail’ groomer I’d been using and was buying again and rushed me over to the salon.

Her name was Sadie; she gave me the exact groomer and web site to buy the Would Be Perfect. Full size, so I can do a good job and buy her less (she has arthritis)

Now, Sadie was helping me to Not need her services at the Groomers, helping my dog and it was just so nice.

I’d just gotten the Tags and gave her one and felt like a million bucks! Thankyou GotTagged!!!

  19. I was not given a card and I do not know how to get them to start this in my area, but I do have a story of kindness.

I was sitting on a bench inside the local Walmart and I was making a phone call to the local 511 Transportation number because my “pre-paid” card for the bus system was not working. I was told that even though I paid for the rolling pass online that morning that it would not take effect for 2-3 days. I am on a very limited income and I started crying and telling the person on the phone that I do not have the money to pay them for a pass and then to pay on the buses as well and that this whole new system was supposed to make things easier, but it has only made things harder for me. I ended up hanging up the phone because I was so frustrated and I was still trying to stop crying. Because I was crying, I had started to upset my little one and she had asked me if I was ok and I told her as I always do if I have to cry in front of her that things will get better.

A lady who was in line at the pharmacy walked up to me and asked if there was anything she could do for me. I told her no that I would be fine. She insisted on giving me a $20 bill and I told her that I really did not need it, but she said she would not take no for an answer. I thanked her profusely and headed to pay for my items and catch the bus home.

I have given food to homeless people sleeping on the streets and I donate all my household goods to the local homeless shelter because they have helped me in the past.

I thank God for people like this woman who out of the kindness of her heart decided to help me and my daughter.

  20. I needed a black suit for a company function I was to attend. It had to be black because everyone had to look alike with a green tie as well. I had a choice of trying to to buy a suit, go to good will or rent a tuxedo. I posted an ad on craigslist asking to borrow a suit for the event. I had been in and out of the hospital and had not been working very long when this came up.
Much to my surprise, several people offered to let me borrow a suit. The person I responded to that had a size that closest fit me placed an envelope in the pocket of the jacket with a beautiful note and some much needed cash to help cover some of the expenses I was going to have on the company trip. This random act made my day and reinforced my belief that there are good caring people in the world. I have had this type of thing happen many times in my life and every chance Iget to pay it forward, I do. Thank you fellow human being! I love you!

  21. I was waiting at a bus stop and a disabled woman was escorted to the bus stop by her boyfriend and told to catch the bus. She seemed very nervous so i asked her if she needed help. She asked for the time of the bus so i told her. Well later once we had caught the bus she asked the driver if the buses in roseville, ca were running. It was a sunday and i knew that the fixed routes were not but the dial a rides were. So i called the bus company in roseville and arranged for a dial a ride bus to pick her up. She said thanks but she didnt have any money. I didnt have any cash but i went into the gas station and got cash back so that way she would have money for the bus. Fortunately the bus waited for me to get the money for her and took her to where she needed to be. I never saw the woman again but at least i knew she was going to be safe.

  22. A skin biopsy is performed in the clinic office to test for GVHD. Alex, again is so brave. He got a stitch in his upper arm where the biopsy was done and didn’t cry. We were both so proud of him. I took him to the restaurant that was attached to the hotel that afternoon. He told the waitress all about how brave he was, and showed her the band-aid on his arm. As he was removing his arm from his shirt, his ‘tubies’ were exposed. The waitress remarked on what a wonderfully brave boy he was. We finished our lunch and went to pay the bill only to be told that a couple had overheard Alex’s conversation with the waitress and had paid for our lunch. The kindness of strangers-Thank you. “When I grow up, Mom, I am going to do nice things like that for people, too.” He was deeply touched this day.

  23. I am a cashier for a leading grocery chain in Austin Texas. I was at work and extremely busy with the Thanksgiving rush. A fellow employee tapped me on my shoulder and told me that he had a message to deliver to me from a customer. He said, “First…I am to give you a BIG HUG! (and so we hugged!!) …now…I am supposed to give you this!” He handed me a $100 dollar grocery gift card~Anonymous!!! (along with the blue “You got tagged” card) The hug was enough for me…and the gift card was overwhelming…truly a blessing! On my way home,I kept trying to make sense of it all…and God told me to quit asking questions and to just say thank you Lord for the blessing. I shared about this blessing with my mother and my grown children, and the gift just kept on giving….kept on blessing others as they heard what happened. Everyone’s heart was touched as I told my story. I was truly blessed by this persons spirit of kindness…and grateful for the beautiful heart that felt led to do this for me! Thank you!!

  24. Today was actually the second timed I have received this same blessing, exept this time I received the “You got tagged” card with it. Last month I received an anonymous $75.00 gift card for a local grocery store in the mail. We shared our blessing with everyone we knew, and kind of asked around. While everybody was amazed to hear our story, nobody knew who sent it. Of course I thanked The Lord for our blessing. It couldn’t have come at a better time. We are definatley struggling financially. Well, this morning when I checked my mail, there was another gift card, for $50.00, except this time it had this card with it. So, here I am with another wonderful testimony to tell. Thank you, Lord for sending us this angel! You are awesome, and never let us down!! I will definatley pay it forward! God bless you!!

  25. I read with interest John Van Dorn’s article this a.m. about Kindness.com. I thought I would contribute some thoughts on how kindness can be passed along. The day was in the high 90’s and I was driving, approaching an intersection known for scruffy individuals standing with poorly constructed “Help” signs. I made sure my doors were locked and I was grateful I had sunglasses on so I wouldn’t have to look them in the eye. The light was about to turn green but the lady in front of me paused, rolled down her window and gave the man a bottle of water. He looked mighty grateful. It was then that I realized how judgmental and callous I had become. I went to Costco and bought a box of Payday bars – good protein in them, and I carry a case of water in the back seat to hand out to them. Although it is my policy to never give money, they nevertheless are happy that someone talks to them, gives them a drink and a bite to eat. Interestingly enough, people in back of me do reach into their pockets to give them some change.

  26. After picking my dog Oz Davis up from my sisters house , my friend Vicky and I decided we were hungry and stopped at Jack in the box. To our surprise when we approched the window the cashier said that the people in front of us had paid for our food and left us this blue card. We’d like to thank you very very much. There is some kindness left in this cold crule world. Thanks once again and this act of kindness will be passed on with good blessings! Merry Xmas to you and yours and good riches this new years!

  27. I was tagged this morning at Starbucks, the nice girl in front of me had paid for my order. Even the employee couldn’t believe it, that was really just so sweet, so thank you!! I look forward to passing it on in a big way, this is so wonderful!!

  28. My husband I went to our local Panera Bread for some New Years Day cookies with our dogs. The lady in front of me forgot to bring her credit card and the one she had was declined. I added my cookies to her bill and I was on my way with a feeling of a good deed. The cashier handed me this card and asked if I would submit my Story.

  29. I don’t have a card but I have a wonderful story. Several months ago I took my six foster children to walmart to get my van a new tire and get a key made and few other things as I was driving in the automotive department I noticed a man following a car with a young girl, I noticed that her car had aflat tire that had been changed and the donut was on her car. I spoke to the man in the line in the service department and the young girl also , she started to tell me that she and her young child had flat on the interstate and the man had changed the tire and followed her to the walmart to pay for her a new tire. She was so happy.I looked at him and said God bless to him and said that he was and angel. After telling the checker that I was taking my kids to McDonalds to eat and that I would return and pay for my items. Aleast an hour past and when my boys and I returned to the checker I noticed that the man who helped the young lady was the only customer still there I asked the checker to let him go first because he was before me he insisted that I go ahead of him, I did and when my total rang up before I could give the cashier any money the man reached over my shoulder and slide his credit card and said thats for all you do, I started to cry and told him thank you several times. I could not believe that he waited back there that long to help me and my six foster boys. I don’t know who he was but to me he was our angel. and that was what i told him he was before he left.

  30. Well,I have been sick for 2 month’s kinda feeling low until I got tagged.I read how all the blessing’s were happening to all these wonderful people and all the hard times they were having and got such a blessing because I am so lucky to be living and actually have a good life. it made me very thankful. Carol-January 6,2010

  31. My daughter won a contest on the local radio station this Christmas titled Christmas Angel. She won some great prizes but one was a $293.00 gift for your T.V. from Fisher Price. Well on our way home we had to stop at the pharmacy to pick up my prescription and my daughter overheard me talking to a little girl who was so worried Santa wasn’t coming to her house this year because her daddy had lost his job. My daughter asked me on the way out of the store if she could play Santa to the little girl I wondered what she meant but as soon as I saw her coming with the Fisher Price toy I knew, the little girl squealed with joy and her father broke down into tears, he hugged both my daughter and me and called us “ChristmasAngels” I was so proud of my daughter I could cry.

  32. I received my card at my piano class. When my mom was about to pay for the lessons she was told that we didn’t have to pay and was presented the “got tagged” card. My mother thought that was so…. cool and and can’t wait to pass it on. Thanks to whomever tagged us. It was truly a blessing. My mom used the money instead and bought me a treat. Thanks!

  33. I have not been feeling well all day. I wanted a nice dinner to help a little bit, and I knew one of my co-workers was going out and I asked her if she could pick me up something and gave her my money. When she brought me dinner, there was my dinner along with the blue card and $20. I feel so blessed to have Kim and everyone around her (Jerry, Deidre, Danielle, Donita, etc) in my life as well. Thank you. I can’t wait to use this on someone else, and I think I know exactly who could use it!

  34. I received this card from my boyfriend’s Mother. She has been wonderful to get to know and she handed it to me at the end of our last trip home. I feel blessed with the entire situation, her son is incredible, and while there is not one event to speak of, there are multiple moments when she has gone out of her way to include me lovingly in the family. When she gave me the card she said she knew I would do something with it. I intend to use this card in honor of her, the belief she has in me and in honor of the giving heart that she has.

  35. We drove from AZ to USMC Camp Pendleton, CA to see our son’s girlfriend (a Marine) and the other reservists in her unit off for their 7 mo. deployment to Afghanistan. By the time we arrived at our hotel, it was just after midnight and I needed to find something for my family to eat! We had to be up at 6am to make it to the send off in time and knew we wouldn’t have time to eat breakfast. There was no place open, and the on base Domino’s had already closed for the night. I found a couple of their employees outside, cleaning and closing up. I told them my situation and they were gracious enough to give me the food they had cooked up for themselves that evening (a co. benefit to working the late shift). and gave it to me at NO CHARGE! My family was so grateful and we will not forget their kindness and sacrifice! We look forward to an opportunity to “pay it forward” and pass our blue card along! Thank you to all those guys at that Dominos for their goodwill!

  36. As I was leaving the grocery store this morning, I noticed an older gentleman ahead of me carrying flowers. I thought to myself how sweet that he might be getting them for his wife/lady friend. As I’m putting my cart away, he stops his car, hands me the flowers, and tells me that this is his gesture for the day. I can’t tell you how happy such a simple, yet so unexpected act made me. I can’t wait to keep it going. 🙂

  37. Thursday April 29/10 in Calgary was a very stormy, cold, wet & miserable day. I had just pulled out into the intersection of Macleod Trail & 94 Ave SE when my car died. Before I knew it, like an angel, this young man appeared out of nowhere and offerred to push my car off the busy road into a safe location. Another man quickly came to his aid and before I knew it I was out of harms way. Thanks very much to both of you. Nice to know that there are still people out there willing to help in an emergency. They really reduced my stress that day with their simple act of kindness. Thank You!

  38. I am a dentist in central Ohio and usually don’t go out for lunch. It was a very pretty day and so I ran some errands with the top down on my vette. Decided to pick up a little lunch on the way back to the office at KFC. The line was a little long, so I had time to get the correct change. When I went to hand the money to the girl at the window, she said the lady in front of me had paid the bill. My first reaction was “who is that” being sure it was a friend of mine. The girl handed me a blue card describing her mother who had passed, and what a wonderful lady she was.
Header on the blue ocean card was “Random Act of Kindness”. When I got back to the office and told the story to one of my assistants, I got a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye.
We are fortunate to be in a position in our profession to be able to pass things along on a daily basis( sometimes my office manager accuses me of running a free clinic).
I have led a blessed and wonderful life, but I’ll never forget this noon. With all of the negative news, it is good to be reminded of the great and caring people of America, and that we are going to be OKay. We will pass it along…with a new sense of joy.
God does work in mysterious ways His wonders to perform!

  39. Check it out! So I hopped on the train to visit my boyfriend in NJ not realizing that I didn’t have enough money to complete my fair when ironicly I looked in front of me and saw the “Got Tagged” card along with a monthly pass. How great was that! It was my lucky day!! I was very skeptical at first cuz these things NEVER happen to me but when it finally sunk in I couldn’t help but smile and feel so blessed.Thank u to that special someone who totally brightened my day! Muchas Gracias!! 🙂 Lookin forward to brightening someone else’s.

  40. On one day I was driving home from work. On the Roosevelt Blvd their was a person who’s car has broken down. So I pulled in behind the car and got out of mine and walked up to the car in front. When I got to the car in front there was a girl in the front seat. When I asked her what is wrong, she replied that her car had just shut off right there. Meanwhile this was on a friday evening and all of the other drivers were blowing their horns at us. I told her that I would give her a push with my car to get her out of traffic. My car was alot bigger then hers was, so I told her that it may cause a little damage to her rear bumper. The girl said it’s ok don’t worry about it. So I got into my car and pushed her to the next turn off and she parked. After that I went to her and asked if she was going to be alright and she said “yes”. The girl then started to hand me some money and I said to her that I don’t want it…. that is not why I helped you. This whole time she was on her cell phone with her dad, probably to come and help her with her car issue. So I told her that I hoped that the rest of her day is better and went to leave, but the girl said her dad wants to ask you something. I thought that it was a question about her car, but he said thank you for your help. I said to him that was not needed I was glad to get her out of the traffic. P.S I never heard of this card but if I had, I would of give her one after pushing her car. Now that I know about the blue cards I wish that I was able to do more and to have quite a few cards to hand out … But at this time I can’t do to my disability.. …..has me is the house all the time except for my doctor appointments . Thank You Bobby Schwager from Philadelphia, Pa

  41. This is the coolest thing ever!!! This guy totally made my day yesterday! I was went through the Taco Bell drive through yesterday and when i got up the window to pay for my order the lady told me that the man who was in front of me paid for my order! I was like what?? Why? She said “He said to tell you that it was just a random act of kindness and that he hopes you pass it on, and told me to give you this card!”WOW! Im so happy that there are people out there like this! Thank you for putting a smile on my face & making my day!

  42. I have a reverse story. I was travelling for work on a pretty barren highway when I came across some folks pushing their car off the highway. I could see a child in the car. I went to the next exit and turned around. Most interestingly, as I was gettin close to these folks, a police car pulled into the far lane and avoided the situation. I took the ladies and the children (3) 40 miles down the road to a hotel, and dropped the gentleman off at the first exits repair shop. As we drove the young wife said her husband stops all the time to help people: she always asked him why he HAD to be so helpful. He told her that some day they would need an “angel” to help them. She told me I must have been that angel. I don’t expect anyone to return the favor, but I just don’t understand why we can’t be more helpful these days. I was a little nervous, at first, picking up strangers, but I sure didn’t think anyone would drag along 3 small children and fake car trouble to do soemone else harm. the whole world should just keep PAYING IT FORWARD!

  43. I went to my local used book store this morning to buy a book. I’ve been out of work for 18 months and a used book once a month is my only indulgence. I was so surprised when I was told that the book had already been paid for by an anonymous source and was also given a gottagged.org card. I was so surprised! It meant the world to me. Thank you so much!

I can’t wait to do something for someone and pass it on. Thank you again so much!

  44. My daughter and I were on our way to church when she asked me if we could go to Starbucks. We made a quick stop at the drive in and as i was handing the cashier my money she gave me a blue card and said the person before paid for your drinks. I was so amazed that someone had the courtesy to do that. Me and my daughter are so excited to pass this on.

  45. I was at Rite-aid picking up some prescriptions and was short 4.00 as the price had gone up for one of the medications. I was going to have to drive home to get the extra money when a beautiful woman stepped up and gave me the money I needed to pay for the prescriptions. I praise the Lord for this wonderful lady. I also want to pass it on.

  46. Hi! I was at the Starbucks drive thru and the person in front on me, paid for mine! Such a nice surprise! How sweet! Thank you! The cashier gave me the card but I wanted to pay it forward too, so I took a picture of the card with my phone camera, gave the card back to the Starbucks cashier (so they can give it to the next person) and I paid for the person behind me! It was so fun! I hope it lasts all day but wouldn’t it be fun if it never ended.. LOL Thanks again!

  47. Went to starbucks drive thru and i was getting my morning coffee. Lady in front of me paid for me. What a great surprise! Made my day 🙂 Thank you

  48. On the surface this story is no comparison to the many below. However it’s the affirmation that there are good people in this world. I had just returned from the vet to pickup medicine for a friend who I knew could not pay for it. After I gave it to her I left and felt like a donut and coffee. To my surprise pulling up to the drive-thru window I was told that my coffee and a half dozen donuts were paid for. All I could think of is thank you Lord for prople like the lady in front of me in the drive-thru. It’s a reminder that there’s hope for this world after all. Thank you whoever you may be. ~j~

  49. Several weeks ago, one of the outpatients at our facility came to me and another co-worker and handed us the ‘blue card’ along with money for coffee. Two days a week, I work until 12:30pm, so today I headed out to SaladWorks for lunch and there was a young lady behind me ordering her meal. Once I got to the cashier, I decided to PIF and when she walked up, I told her lunch was ‘on me’ and she could not believe it! Then she said, oh, this is paying it forward and I told her yes. I am grateful for every time someone does anything for me, and paying it forward is the best way to go!!

  50. I was in line at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf this morning in the drive-thru. When I got to the window, I found out the woman in front of me had paid for my drink and left me a GotTagged card. I’ve heard of paying it forward before and actually have paid for others behind me in line but this was the first time I had heard of this site. The coffee was what I needed today and having it paid for made my day start off in the most awesome way!

  51. On my way into work this morning feeling as if I did not matter. I went through the McDonald’s drive thru to pick up breakfast. When I got to the cashier window, the cashier looked at me and said ” the lady in the vehicle ahead wanted you to know that you matter and that she has taken care of your bill”. Once I received my food and drove out of the parking lot, I could not help but cry. Thank you to the person ahead of me for such a kind message & gift for my day. It truly meant a lot. God Bless You!!

  52. I have some of these little blue cards, and I occasionally pay for the person behind me in drive-thru lines. Today is the first time anyone has done that for me though. It was such a nice surprise, and on a day when I was feeling down.Thank you! 🙂 So I paid for the person behind me.

  53. The person in front of me in line bought my coffee at the Coffee Bean near 183 and Anderson Mill rd. Thank you!

  54. My husband and I decided to celebrate his 51st birthday a week early since I’ll be out of town next weekend. We had a day planned with a late lunch at the Oast House Restaurant and then the rodeo. We enjoyed the meal and I excused myself to the restroom while my husband waited for the check. When I got back to the table, he said, “you’re not going to believe this, but someone paid for our meal.” We both got teary eyed at the thought of a stranger doing this. The waitress, who at this point was teary eyed too, said that the kind stranger wanted to remain anonymous. They ate at the restaurant and asked if anyone was ready for their check. We just happened to be next. It was truly a random act of kindness.
Now, we just paid it forward. We decided we were going to give someone money. So, we went to Wal-Mart to pick out someone. We noticed a man playing video games with his son. They seemed so loving. Then, as we walked around some more, we noticed a lady walking around with her daughter. They weren’t buying much (some wrapping for a child’s birthday present and a couple of blouses for the little girl) but they seemed very happy. Deciding was just so difficult. We just didn’t know what to do. Then, as we walked around one of the aisles, there they all were- together. They were husband and wife with their two children. We handed them the money and the card. Wished them well and said goodbye. It was amazing.

  55. I got tagged at Schmetlers Long Hair Car Care in Paso Robles, CA. Someone paid over $150 for my car repair! Amazing

  56. I got tagged at a local diner here in Austin (Kerbey Lane Cafe) where my son and I were having breakfast. His mother and I are divorced, and he’s in his senior year of high school. Every moment with him is golden to me. We were squeezing in breakfast between him waking up (see also: teenager) and an event at his school, and had a great time talking about ‘just things’. As I was handing my credit card to the waitress, she said, “as much as I would like to take your money, you have been tagged as a random act of kindness.”

Thank you, random tagger. You made a great morning even more memorable. I’m already scheming where to pass this on.

  57. Drive thru at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in NW Austin. The person in the SUV ahead of me paid for all 4 cars in line.

  58. My wife and I recently moved to Austin. We were in North Italia restaurant discussing all the things we had left to do. We asked for our check, and were shocked to learn that our tab was picked-up by the people at the next table. They also left us a “Welcome to Austin!” note. How awesome is that? Can’t wait to tag someone else.
